Living Aloha

I recently got back from a much loved trip to Oahu!  That place is awesome.
This is the first time I've been with decorating in mind...so I stocked up on things for my future apartment :)

here's what I got:

cutting board...you know you're ready to move out when...haha

set of 6 coasters

magnetic notepad/pen holder for the fridge

I finally got a bamboo curtain! ...but as I was looking for photos of it online I saw an enlarged photo of the one I bought I realized that I'm pretty sure the hula girl is topless!!! haha not quite the look I was going for...looks like I'll have to do some strategic painting.  oops.

Some pics from the trip:

gotta love sandy feet

pipeline

chillaxing at my favourite beach

had to fit a ride in

I was eating this orange on the beach and thought the colours went nicely together so I had to take a picture haha

this hotel looks so beautiful with the turquoise water and lush green gardens.

Playing House

Life has been full these past few weeks and while I've still been collecting images that inspire and fascinate me, I haven't gotten around to posting them here!  Pinterest is so much easier :)  If you haven't checked out Pinterest you're missing out on a wealth of interesting photos and ideas.  Check out RamonaRode's "pins & boards" by hitting the link to the right - "RamonaRode on Pinterest"

Here's an imaginary house I like:

*substitute the cat for a dog*

such a neat way to display kids art.  if you don't have kids you could hang postcards, polaroids/pictures, letters etc.

ha! so cute huh?!

I love how bright and airy this space is.  the rustic floors are great.

his and her mirrors are a fun touch.
