For the Love of Paper

I have a thing for stationary.  When I was in University, I collected a ton of index cards and index card cases...even now I like looking at them haha!

I came across this DIY and thought it was really cool.  It's always fun to look back in your journal and see what you were doing the same time last year.

I found this candle holder at the Salvation Army Thrift Store (yay send kids to camp, shop at the Sally Ann!) and it reminded me of the elephant side tables that I love...so for 3 bucks I bought it, took it home and spray painted it.

it started out as a dirty gray colour

so first I white-washed it so that if my spray paint missed a spot in all those tiny crevasses, it was show as white and not gray.

then I spray painted it a baby blue (a little lighter than shown in this photo)
